Function:

  • Invert metatarsals/metheads
  • Supinate midtarsal joint
  • Support forefoot varus

Clinical Indication:

  • Structural Forefoot varus
  • Excessive or compensatory STJ pronation

About:
In a varus extension, a 3mm thick forefoot, Myolite padding extends from the distal aspect of shell to level of sulcus or toes. It is thicker medially and tapers until there is no material under the lateral aspect of the 5th metatarsal head. This extension is indicated to accommodate a forefoot varus.

Function:

  • Invert metatarsals/metheads
  • Supinate midtarsal joint
  • Support forefoot varus
